Evenstad Tax Service (Patricia Evenstad)

Trish and Sharon Evenstad are both Enrolled Agents (EA) admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The IRS states that an enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. They must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.

Sharon worked for the IRS before opening Evenstad Tax Service originally in 1975 in Westby. She has maintained her office in the same building to present. Her vast experience and tax knowledge is an asset to clients.

Trish started working with Sharon in 2006 and is a degreed accountant. She earned her status as an Enrolled Agent in 2011. Her attention to detail and knowledge of tax law is comforting to clients and allows Evenstad Tax Service to maintain its premier level service.
