M. J. Vandenbroucke

As someone who has used both online self-filing services, and a certain nationally franchised tax services provider, I firmly believe this is a service area where you get what you pay for. I\'ve been a customer of M J Vandenbroucke\'s for years, and have always experienced excellent customer service. I had a relatively complex return this year and it was completed in just a couple days. As a consultant, I had income in multiple states, each of which required a separate return. Not only was the service quick, but the team at M J Vandenbroucke took care of all of the paperwork, and returned it to me with dummy-proof instructions on how to finish processing. I highly recommend M J Vandenbroucke to anyone, particularly those looking to take the stress out of tax season.

You know those weird traditions your family has that probably have some very sensible origin, but you don\'t really know anything about that and you just kinda do it because the rest of your fam does? That\'s me with M.J. Vandenbroucke. My entire family has gotten their taxes done here FOREVER, and while I\'m not sure why or how this came about, I AM sure I\'m terrible at math and adult things, so I follow suit. I\'ve been getting my taxes done here for as long as I\'ve been filing taxes and I love them - they\'re personable, hardworking, they never steer me wrong, they ask a zillion great questions, and I\'m always pleased with the outcome (I mean c\'mon, they\'re not miracle workers, they can\'t magically get me a bigger refund). Since I\'ve never gone anywhere else to get my taxes done, I don\'t know how \"reasonable\" their prices are, but given that my hubs has his his done online through H&R Block and there\'s no real person to check his work or tell him he\'s being an idiot and he pays only slightly less than I do, I think it\'s a pretty good deal. Though lots of you whipper snappers probably have gone the route of turbo tax and other online tax preparers, I\'m just not 100% comfortable with that. Until I get there, I\'ll continue to come here - where I\'m confident they\'ll do an awesome job, and they remember my face year after year.

Like another reviewer, my family also has a tradition (from some very sensible origin I\'m sure) of getting their taxes done at M.J. Vandenbroucke. Ever since I started having to file I have used their services and never been disappointed. I love them so much that even though I\'ve moved, I continue to use their services; over the years, they\'ve helped me file when I lived in Pennsylvania as well as Oregon, so don\'t underestimate their expertise or think it is limited just to Illinois. I appreciate that they answer all my questions throughout the year. Although I could probably do my taxes myself, I feel more comfortable knowing I\'m filing an accurate return based on their expertise. (In fact, I\'m sure I\'ve saved money using their services.)

Decided to take a chance on this one and it worked out great. Tim was very knowledgeable for our particular situation and the cost to get our taxes done was compatible with other companies. We will use them again.
