My parents insist on seeing a tax attorney. What does a tax attorney do? Isn’t it just something I can do?

I would not suggest you getting involved in your parents taxes. Go to H&R block they will help you with everything you need with out a headache.

A tax attorney is a lawyer who specializes in the complex and technical field of tax law. They step in when you have a problem that you may not fully understand and can explain it to you in a way you can understand. They will negotiate with the IRS on your behalf and may be able to lower your tax debt.

It’s like any other attorney, only they only work with taxes. So that they know all the new laws and such.

A good tax attorney is better than a best friend. They helped me get my life back on track, lowered my tax bill and reduced my stress. I would recommend one.
